- About The Artwork
- Elegant, slender cuff bracelet with deeply stamped design.
Navajo handmade of ingot silver, it is decored with just seven stamp strikes. These are beautifully carved images. At center is an eight- pointed star inset within an ovoid cavity. The elongated triangle is especially complex and is a work of art in its own right.
The bracelet is wonderful worn in combination or solo.
- About The Artist
- The Navajo were the first of the Native Americans of the Southwest to learn silversmithing from the Spanish. Most Navajo jewelry emphasizes silver, with turquoise stones used as an accent. Some pieces are cast in sand or tufa molds, while others are hammered, using a male stamp and a female die.
