About The Artwork

This handsome cuff has deeply stamped designs consisting of two X's flanked by an arrow on each side. The silver is carinated on the sides to the ends only, while the top, hammered flat, bars the main design. This piece makes an authentic statement utilizing its unrefined quality. This cuff can be adjusted for a smaller wrist.

About The Artist

The Navajo were the first of the Native Americans of the Southwest to learn silversmithing from the Spanish. Most Navajo jewelry emphasizes silver, with turquoise stones used as an accent. Some pieces are cast in sand or tufa molds, while others are hammered, using a male stamp and a female die.
