About The Artwork

A single very detailed stamp is used to create a scalloped, lacey effect that contrasts with the overall tailored simple mass of the cuff--a favorable combination of unusual AND comfortable. Very nice to wear anywhere as an accent piece! PS Carinated means shaped like the keel of a ship.

About The Artist

The Navajo were the first of the Native Americans of the Southwest to learn silversmithing from the Spanish. Most Navajo jewelry emphasizes silver, with turquoise stones used as an accent. Some pieces are cast in sand or tufa molds, while others are hammered, using a male stamp and a female die.
