- About The Artwork
- Awesome, three stone silver cuff bracelet--Pueblo style 1920's - 1930's. This piece is meticulously fabricated using a blow torch.
Three beautiful, green turquoise stones with an attractive matrix and color change patterns have survived, undamaged after more than 70 years of wear. They are smooth bezel set on a back plate decorated with fine twisted wire to echo the triple-twisted wire shank. It is utterly unique!!!
- About The Artist
- The Navajo were the first of the Native Americans of the Southwest to learn silversmithing from the Spanish. Most Navajo jewelry emphasizes silver, with turquoise stones used as an accent. Some pieces are cast in sand or tufa molds, while others are hammered, using a male stamp and a female die.
