- (1911-2001) Born in Saint Germain les Bells, France, Peyrat's first exhibition took place in Limoges in 1948. His subsequent exhibitions in different French cities were all received well. His Paris exhibitions of 1958 and 1961 resulted in very favorable comments. "Louis Peyrat is a painter of rare insight and great sensitivity. Peyrat's cousin, Maurice Utrillo has the larger reputation. Peyrat's depiction of scenes yield a lighter approach to his subject. They are entirely more buoyant in palette and treatment.
